1) What can I do on Lifebooker?
On Lifebooker you can search, browse, compare and book services from New York City’s finest health and beauty establishments (and many other types of businesses coming soon!).
2) What does it cost to use Lifebooker?
Nada, it’s absolutely free. In fact we give you Reward Dollars which you can redeem towards any service on the site. What are Reward Dollars?
3) How does the site work?
On Lifebooker, you’ll always be hooked into the best services NYC has to offer. Our partners set up profiles containing their business descriptions and complete service menus. They then post real-time appointment availabilities which you can search for dynamically through our site. Every time you book and honor an appointment, you'll receive Reward Dollars. What are Reward Dollars?
4) I’m a business owner (or I know of one) who’d like to have a profile on Lifebooker. What should I do?
If you’re interested in being a Lifebooker partner provider, click here.
5) What’s the best way to find an appointment that suits my needs?
Simply use the appointment search (the blue bar located on the top of every page on the site with the big orange “Find” button). Here you will enter the criteria of the appointment you seek (service type, date, time, and neighborhood). Once you’ve specified what you want, click on the “Find” button and voila, see what the city has to offer!
6) How do I find out more about an establishment or specific service offering?
Wherever you see an establishment or service that peaks your interest, simply click on its name and a pop-up will appear with detailed information regarding that provider or service.
7) How do I book an appointment?
Once you've found an appointment you want to book, just click on the exact appointment time that best fits your schedule. If you are not logged into the system you will be prompted to either login (if you’ve already created a Lifebooker account) or to create a new account (which is free and takes only a few minutes). After you’ve logged in or created a new account you will have the opportunity to review your appointment information, apply rewards (if you have any), update your contact info, and even send a text message of your appointment info to your cell phone! If a partner establishment requires a credit card assurance upon booking you will also enter that here.
8) What are featured appointments?
Featured appointments are simply upcoming availabilities for some of the more popular services on our site.
9) What does “True Ratings & Reviews” Mean?
Unlike other online directories where anyone can rate and review, Lifebooker only displays ratings and reviews from clients who’ve booked and honored their appointments. Lifebooker's ratings are from actual clients, and not competitors or the providers themselves (as is too often the case on so many other sites).
10) What is this difference between a True Overall Rating and a True Service Rating?
Because we book actual appointments, when a client provides a rating we know which provider they visited, and exactly what service their rating refers to. This allows us to offer two types of customer ratings to our clients:
1) An establishment's True Overall Rating is an average of all the ratings provided for that establishment.
2) An establishment’s True Service Rating is an average of just the ratings from clients who’ve booked that particular type of service (ex. massages).
This system, would let you know, for example, if an establishment is generally quite good (say rated an average of 8.5), but their Massages are the most highly regarded of all their offerings (say rated an average of 10).
11) Do I have to set up a free account to use Lifebooker?
Anyone may search our site and access all establishment and service information as well as our True Ratings and Reviews. Still, you won’t be able to book appointments, earn Reward Dollars or rate and review services without setting up a free client account. Click here, to sign up or log-in.
12) Why do you ask for my phone number?
First, we want to ensure that if an establishment wishes, they have the ability to contact you in order to make your appointment experience as enjoyable as possible. Also, we want to make sure that if an appointment ever needs to be cancelled, our customer service team can contact you as soon as possible and help you find a suitable substitute.
13) Can I send my appointment info to my cell phone as a text message?
Yes you can. Simply sign up for text alerts either when you set up your account, or while you’re booking an appointment. Enter your number and cellular provider and that’s it!

We work exclusively with the premier establishments in NYC in order to maximize customer satisfaction. If a cancellation does occur, or an establishment is unable to accept a booking, we’ll contact you immediately and find another appointment that meets your needs. In this case, any rewards you used towards the appointment will be returned to your reward balance. Plus you’ll receive all of the reward dollars you would’ve earned had the appointment taken place.
22) I forgot my password and/or my username. What do I do?

25) Why do I have to enter in my credit card details if Lifebooker is free?
Sometimes your credit card assurance is required by an establishment in order to book your reservation. Lifebooker will never charge your card. We simply hold if for the few moments it takes to run a verification check, then we’ll securely pass along the relevant information to the provider who may charge you if you don’t adhere to their cancellation policy (which will be clearly described on our site).
26) How do I cancel an appointment, and what is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel an appointment simply by logging-in to your account, finding the respective appointment in your upcoming appointments, and clicking the “Cancel” button located below the appointment information. Note that Lifebooker doesn’t dictate the cancellation policies of our partners. An establishment’s cancellation policy will always be exhibited clearly when you book, and when you cancel an appointment.
How do I view my upcoming appointments?
27) What is your “No-Show” policy, and how is this different from cancellations?
In order for us to consider a cancellation official, you must cancel directly through Lifebooker. If you’re unable to keep your reservation and you fail to provide us with notice of cancellation, Lifebooker will send you an email letting you know that our records indicate that you were noted as a “No-show” for the respective appointment. You won’t be entitled to any Reward Dollars in the event of a No-show, and the service provider may charge you according to their own cancellation policy. Lifebooker itself will not charge you in this situation, but your account may be terminated if you fail to honor appointments an excessive number of times.
